Free Beach Cinema – until 18th August
Yes that’s right, there’s open-air cinema on Barcelona beach and it’s free!
Every Thursday and Sunday there are movies shown on Sant Sebastian beach on a big screen with the sea as the background. All you need to do is turn up early to get a seat and take something comfortable to sit on!

Barcelona Beach Festival
Barcelona Beach Festival (BBF) – 18th July
18th July sees an awesome line-up of international music acts performing at Platja del Forum – the beach front music venue! The main stage line up includes David Guetta, Hardwell and The Zombie Kids.
Music in the Park Festival
Music in the Park – until 4th September
Check out free concerts all over the city’s parks with the Music in the Parks festival. In it’s 20th year, the festival brings jazz and classical music to 23 green spaces around town for people to enjoy for free – from the Parc to Joan Miro to the main city’s park – Parc de la Ciutadella

Night of the Blues
Night Of Blues – until 29th August
Check out some awesome open air music at the Nits de Blues in the unique setting of ‘Poble Espanyol’ on Montjuic hill. All the live performances of blues are from local bands and musicians and performed outside under the stars. These events are held every Thursday in July and every Saturday in August with bar and food available.

Open Air Cinema – until 7th August
Calling all cinema fans, from this year’s Oscar winner Boyhood to old favourite The Big Lebowski, Barcelona Sala Montjuic is hosting cinema performances in the fresh air. You can even take in your own food and drinks and book a lounger! Check out the tickets in advance as you can also get a tour of the castle included. The cinema is held at the top of Montjuic park on the outside of the Castle walls, so grab a ticket and enjoy being outside!

Grec Theatre Festival
GREC festival – until 31st July
GREC is a theatre, music, dance and performance art festival that takes place at a variety of locations across the city – including the open air Greek Theatre. In its 39th year, this well respected festival is also part of Europe’s summer festival scene. Try to catch one of the performances at the open air theatre for a unique experience. Check out performances from young singer-song writers or Jazz quintets performing in famous clubs.

Open Air Music at the Torres Bellesguard
Gaudi Nights – open air concerts – until 15th September
The Nits Gaudi are over 47 Jazz, Blues, Flamenco and World Music concerts talking place live at the famous Torre Bellesguard tower. This amazing setting for the open air concerts was designed by Barcelona’s famous architect Gaudi. Concerts are from 8.45pm and there is a chill out session afterwards from 10pm.
