All the products served at the hostels are bought locally even though they may be very similar between hostels. So at Equity Point New York’s free breakfast we serve fruit cereals, café, milk, infusions, juice, butter and Jelly. We also have some products that are only available at Equity Point New York breakfast like bagels –a New York classic- and cream cheese.
You can toast your bread or bagels at all our hostels. And we also have a bagel cutter that sometimes amazes non Americans who haven’t seen one before.
Thanksgiving is a very special day for all North Americans, a day to spend with the family and the most loved ones. But for those who must stay away from home and all the tourists at Equity Point New York, we’re preparing a special Thanksgiving Brunch for tomorrow that will be served instead of our classical breakfast.
Equity Point New York’s Thanksgiving Brunch will be made by our staff and will include spinach quiche, turkey bacon quiche, turkey sausages, eggs, homemade biscuits with honey and jam, orange juice and there will be an option to also have mimosas.
All our hostels have common areas where you can socialize and meet other travelers and locals. Equity Point New York is no different and there we have Bar Catalonia, a bar where you can have delicious sandwiches, craft beers, wines, cocktails…
At Bar Catalonia we’ve selected for our clients some local craft beers to offer a unique tasting experience. You can choose from Alphabet City Easy Blond, Defiant Brewing, Greenport Harbor and Bronx Brewery. All of them are distinctive and special and you can only find those craft beers at the New York area and surroundings.
Last week we were proud to inaugurate Equity Point New York Hostel. To such an important event we brought the group Castellers de Vilafranca to Manhattan. They built several Human Towers all over New York including one at our hostel at Times Square, as you can see in the video.
At the official event we heard the speeches of Artur Mas the President of Catalonia –-Equity Point Hostels homeland–; Mike Kelley, Independence Point President; and our CEO Oriol Badia.
We’ve worked really hard to have a hostel in New York in such a great location as it is Time Square. And soon we will have some more hostels all around the United States of America. Stay tuned to be the first to know where the new Equity Point Hostels will be! Continue reading →
